Does my organisation qualify for free charity hosting?

Currently, if you are working for a charity that is registered in the United Kingdom, you can use our free charity hosting. The person contacting us about setting up a hosting package must be a charity director or listed trustee, so we can verify that you are officially involved with the charity. We may also accept organisations that are subsidiaries or branches of larger charities. If you’re at all unsure if you qualify please get in touch with us. We might need proof of your connection with the charity but we can chat you through the process.

How many websites can I host on my package?

You can host one website on your Amethyst plan. If you need to host more sites, we have a range of Business Hosting plans available.

Can I install applications?

There are over 200 applications to install through your hosting control panel, including WordPress, Joomla!, Drupal, and much more. You may also be able to install other software, depending on what the application requires and your technical capacity.

How many email addresses can I have?

The Amethyst plan comes with an unlimited number of 5GB mailboxes.

What platform will my website be on?

Your site will be on a Linux server on our Katapult cloud server platform, giving you fast and resilient performance.

What if I need to upgrade?

If you need to upgrade, please get in touch with us, and we’ll work out the best plan for your site, and possibly at a reduced price!
