We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Developer Relations Specialist to join our team and enhance our engagement with the developer community.
As the Developer Relations Specialist at Katapult, you will play a crucial role in building and nurturing relationships with the developer community. You will act as a bridge between Katapult and developers, ensuring that our products meet their needs and that they have the resources and support to succeed. In addition to the usual DevRel tasks, you will also be responsible for creating high-quality technical content, including blog posts, user guides, and developer documentation.
Engage with the developer community through various channels, including social media, forums, meetups, and conferences.
Represent Katapult at industry events, giving presentations and demonstrations.
Collect and analyse feedback from developers to inform product development and improvements.
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, user guides, and developer resources.
Write and publish technical blog posts that highlight Katapult's capabilities and provide valuable insights to the developer community.
Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to ensure that developer needs are addressed in product roadmaps.
Provide technical support and guidance to developers using Katapult's products.
Develop and deliver webinars, tutorials, and other educational content to help developers get the most out of Katapult's services.
Essential requirements
- Proven experience in a Developer Relations or similar role within the tech industry.
- Strong technical writing skills, with the ability to create clear, concise, and engaging content.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire developers.
- Deep understanding of cloud services, APIs, and modern development practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Passion for technology and a desire to help others succeed.
Highly desirable experience
- Experience with public cloud platforms and related technologies.
- Previous experience as a software developer or engineer.
- Familiarity with open source communities and projects.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices for technical content.
- Experience with content management systems and blogging platforms.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks.
